Our featured supplier

We have an ever increasing number of suppliers to satisfy our growing customer base, all are dedicated farmers who share our ethos, and all are farming here in the south west. We would like to give prominence here to a particular supplier from their ranks.

Tom Browne - Smallbrook Farm, Newton St Cyres, Devon

Since April 2008 Tom has supplied us with our larger ‘bacon’ pigs (a move which finally made the meat in the boxes boxes 100% organic). He has established a 100 sow herd of DurocXLandrac gilts which he is crossing with HampshireXDuroc boars which are ideal for our sausages, bacon and ham. Tom’s family have farmed at Smallbrook Farm for generations. For more images of his handsome pigs and piglets, look to our organic pork page (see below).

Situated in an area of incredibly free-draining, sandy loam, just north of Exeter, they couldn’t be in a better position for outdoor pig production. Looking after the pigs on a day to day basis is Nick - who has been a pig man for thirty five years - and "never not wanted to go to work".
