A woolly tale
Last fortnight I was apologising for the increase in lamb prices. Two reasons why lamb is never going to be cheap again are our propensity for eating it young and our love of cotton, which has caused a collapse in the market for wool. Even Marks & Sparks hardly seem to stock any 100% wool jumpers anymore. What is a poor boy supposed to do for goal posts? In this time of global warming we don’t need to keep warm so let’s use wool to keep things cold. All our fleece liners are now sourced locally from The Woolly Shepherd...

The Riverford meatbox is available in three different sizes, small, medium and large, to suit different household requirements. Our small box will feed two; our medium is tailored to suit a family with young children; and our large for a household with teenagers. Box contents change fortnightly to offer variety and we include a free taster in every box - a culinary gesture from us to you. We also include an informative newsletter which includes full-blown recipes and a meal planner so you'll have plenty of ideas of what to do with the contents.
The freezer boxes: For bulk buying, we offer the all organic beef, lamb, pork, chicken and steak boxes - ideally suited for home freezing and competitively priced - and for the summer months we are now offering the Riverford barbecue box.
